ABOUT THE ARTISTS
Kate Mills is a musical storyteller whose lyrics and emotional perspective are uniquely informed by her time as a social worker. “Many of the things I loved about social work are also why I love music,” she says. “In both, it’s about creating a space for us to acknowledge and embrace our whole selves, even the parts that are challenging." Her folk-rock sound captures the warmth and orchestrations of her beloved 1970s Laurel Canyon singers-songwriters, while being enhanced by today’s crisp production standards. It’s like taking a drive with Dan Fogelberg, Brandi Carlile, Linda Rondstadt, and Grace Potter.
Denise Moser is a singer/songwriter and a writer of custom songs and flash fiction. She touches hearts by revealing her own. Denise’s writing is insightful, clever, and brave. Her commissioned pieces include songs for weddings, special birthdays, retirements, a treasured father at the end of his life, the uncertain and unique path of parenting an autistic child, a cross-country move, and an unlikely couple creating a life together. If you show Denise your heart, she will write you a song…. Denise has opened shows for David Wilcox, John Gorka, Lucy Kaplansky and Steve Forbert. Songs from her albums, Bright Side Up and Here Right Now, have been played on various traditional and internet radio stations including WXPN in Philadelphia. In response to Here Right Now, No Depression's website called her "the Norman Rockwell songwriter.”
Bethlehem Roberson is an experienced writer, vocal performer, and recording artist. Regionally known for her works as a "Vocussionist," a term she created which infuses both vocal performance and body percussion utilizing a Tarima (percussive wooden box) creating a unique dual sound and tone. Critically-acclaimed artist!
Meghan Cary didn't mean to be a musician. But when her fiancé unexpectedly died, she picked up his guitar, figured out how to play it, and wrote her debut record, earning her Billboard Magazine's esteemed "Critics Choice Award." About her latest album, SING LOUDER, John Platt (WFUV) extols, "These times require songs of compassion and commitment, and Meghan has several which inspire us to reach our higher selves. She sings them with such infectious joy you can’t resist joining in.” A frequent performer at Philadelphia Folk Festival, Falcon Ridge, Huntington, Woodstock, and DelMarVa Folk Festivals, Cary creates a live music experience that has been called healing, inspiring and outrageously joyful.
