ABOUT THE ARTIST

This band, Philly SoulSations, comes together from veteran elements of other popular bands in the Philadelphia area plus an exciting newcomer to create a sound that is both distinctive and exciting. Let’s start with the rhythm section. Noble Watson has been holding down drums in this area for more than 30 years. He brings to this group an exacting and fluid series of percussive patterns that are like a metronome, a splash of jazz, and undeniable rhythm and blues. On bass, Omar Welch delivers well grounded bass lines reflective of both pop and dyed in the wool sweet soul music.  On guitar, Barry Greenspan will supply a range of approaches, which will include jazzy dance rhythms, imaginative lead lines, and melodic notes to please the ear.
