Rhythm & Healing Drum Circle with Jesse Appel

Join Music Therapist & Percussionist Jesse Appel for a unique drum circle experience! Connect with the roots of music and community as we nourish the soul with rhythm. We'll begin with a short intro on the basics of hand drumming, and then engage deeply as a group with improvised drumming and dynamic group collaboration through music. Whether you are an experienced drummer or totally new to drum circles, you are welcome at this event. There is a meditative, healing aspect to rhythm and hand drumming that is greatly amplified by the group experience. 

Jesse Appel is a board certified music therapist and multi-instrumentalist with additional training in the Rhythm2Recovery model of group drumming. We will provide as many hand drums as possible, and of course feel free to bring your own!

Doors will open at 7:00, and the program will run approximately from 7:30-8:30pm.
